Background and Goals
The International Dialogue on Population and Sustainable Development, an annual, two-day conference taking place in Berlin, was first convened in 2002 by a consortium of German development cooperation organisations, private enterprises and their international partners. The objective of this forum is to provide a platform to exchange strategies on population issues and sustainable development, to reinforce the implementation of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) Cairo agenda and to contribute to accelerating achievement progress towards the MDGs.
Contents of the International Dialogues
Each conference is dedicated to a particular topic and reflects the broad range of issues under the comprehensive concept of reproductive health and population.
